This is a limited edition 12" x 12" Giclee Print of the original oil painting "Venus with Dog", floating in a gallery frame. Also available unframed (see separate listing).

The limited Giclee Print edition consists of 25 Signed and Numbered Giclee prints, plus 1 Print Test, 2 Artist Proofs. NO additional prints will be created.
Of the 25 prints available, the numbers 1-10/25 will be reserved for Print sets of the square paintings in the Space Time Series: Constellations, Venus with Dog, The Cabin, Rising, Sunset, Bluebeards Castle

Painting Narrative: This painting is about the idea of a “Venus”, an object of unobtainable beauty. Venus could be the modern, brightly colored architecture, the statue of a woman across the river, or could simply be the landscape itself. The Dog is a idealized version of my 12 year old corgi, Tater.
Technical: This Painting uses multiple kinds of perspective techniques including:
Chromatic perspective
Atmospheric perspective
Linear perspective
Multiple Spatial Planes
Color: Primary pigments include: lapis lazuli, cobalt green (pale, medium, dark), cerulean blue, naples yellow genuine, permanent rose and raw sienna
Influences: The "SpaceTime" series was influenced by Venetian Renaissance painting. The composition of "Venus with Dog" owes a nod to Giorgione's "Sleeping Venus"
Please note - white glove delivery is available in NYC.

How long does it take if I commission an original oil painting?
Original Oil Paintings can take 3-4 months to complete due the technical nature of laying the thin layers of paint, and the spatial complexities. You'll get weekly progress updates of your painting while it's being developed.
Where can I buy frames for the unframed Giclee Prints?
I'm working on a short video with suggestions for Frames. I just purchased 18" square frames from West Elm that worked out nicely. I'm ordering some custom mats to use with the frames.
One thing to keep in mind when choosing frames is that the print image is 12"X12" but the paper is larger, usually around 13" Square.
Frame sizes are generally the outside dimensions of the frame, not the inside dimensions that hold the paper.
Generally, for a classic 2" border (matted or floating), you want a frame that is at least 17" Square.
In the decor shot in the About section, the nickel frame with the gray backing is 17.5" square, and the black gallery frame is 18" square.
